Backass thinks that because a bus superintendent told FBI agents that he could find no record of McWatters' transfer books that the Dallas Police must have taken them all. They only needed one transfer, but they figured, what the hell, they'll take 'em all. Why go for subtlety? Backes figures that one statement is evidence of something. It's evidence that he's an idiot.

And McWatters did say that Oswald was consistent in height and weight and complexion with the man who rode with him briefly. That man only rode with McWatters for 2 blocks, and McWatters' eyes were on the road. How long did he sync on the man's face? He may never have at all.

Backes admits that an unidentified man got a transfer, and he was the only man who got a transfer from McWatters. And it wound up in Oswald's shirt pocket because Detective Sims found it there, and we have no basis to accuse Detective Sims of being part of the JFK assassination conspiracy. Plus, Oswald admitted taking a bus and from that location and at that time.

What's the alternative? That there was unidentified man who got on and off the bus over two blocks? That this is all a big coincidence that that man just happened to be there to get McWatters' transfer ticket, but they planted another one on Oswald? Is that what you're saying, Backes?

And hey, I was just quoting other people who say that the reason they cited only a bus ride on Friday and then added a cab ride on Saturday was to keep Oswald from getting home too soon. It's not that I believe it.

And, if the bus and the passengers and the transfer ticket are a rock-solid alibi that Oswald did not shoot Tippit, then why did police create it for him?

So, for all those reasons they had to get him off McWatters' bus? Then why did they put him on McWatters' bus in the first place?

So, are you saying that fortunately for them there was a guy who got on and off McWatters' bus, so they could say Oswald was him? That it was just a lucky break for them once they realized that they made a terrible mistake by putting Oswald on McWatters' bus in the first place?

And the Idiot says that the police and "others" which I guess means the FBI and the Secret Service figured this out in the wee hours of Saturday morning, which called for them to change the story and get Oswald off the bus pronto. But, was it just a lucky break that McWatters' had a passenger who did that, or did they make the whole thing up for him and order him to say it?

And since I already gave you sound reasons to reject the idea that Curry and Fritz had any foreknowledge of the assassination, why would they be amenable to conspiring with the FBI and Secret Service to commit such a fraud? If the FBI wanted them to frame Oswald- even for something as innocuous as riding a bus- didn't it mean that Oswald was innocent? Why would the FBI and Secret Service broadcast loud and clear to the Dallas Police that they were involved in killing Kennedy?

And I would agree with you about the unreliability of reports of what Oswald said. Did I not tell you that Fritz lied bold-faced to the Warren Commission about what Oswald said about his whereabouts during the shooting? But, the hand-written Fritz Notes are an exception. These were private, personal notes that Fritz never ever admitted to. He, in fact, denied having them. They didn't surface until 10 years after Fritz started smoldering in his grave. And there is no way the man took notes in which he lied to himself. Fritz said that Oswald reported being out with Bill Shelley in front and that he took the bus. So, don't you apply your passive voice to that. That was Oswald speaking to us. That was Oswald singing to us.
