More from Richard and Lee below. One thing is for sure: to assume that it is a bookcase is really stupid. It has not a single attribute of a bookcase. It has no resemblance whatsoever to any bookcase we have ever seen. There are no books, no shelves, no brackets, not anything of the nature of a bookcase. It's Bizarro World stuff.

  Lee Cahalan Yeah it's a door. I need to keep it simple more often. A halfway open door which explains why it looks just over 2 ft wide. Normally such a door would appear to be around 30 to 32 inches. There is a large hinge above that casts a shadow. One of those powerful hinges which automatically closes the door authoritatively behind you.
