It is important to remember that, although we talk mostly about the Altgens photo, we have another image of Lee Harvey Oswald standing outside during the shooting, and it is from the Wiegman film.
That image on the left is just as valid as the image on the right. There is absolutely no chance that Billy Lovelady was wearing a shirt with that long, v-shaped, open sprawl. We know very well that he wasn't dressed like that.

That makes the Wiegman film just as confirming as the Altgens photo of Oswald's presence in the doorway.

Notice on the right that you can see Lovelady's right collar. That means that you are seeing most of his shirt- both sides of it. And his shirt was definitely not sprawled open. The top button was unbuttoned, but that was it. Otherwise, his shirt was closed. He simply could not have been the man we see on the left whose shirt is parted like the Red Sea.

So, it's the Altgens photo and the Wiegman film that show us Oswald in the doorway. That's right; we have two photographic images of him standing outside during the shooting.
