The original transfer was examined by National Archives Specialist Steve Hamilton at my (John Armstrong's) request. On October 6, 1998 Mr. Hamilton wrote that the original bus transfer "does appear to have creases in it consistent with folding". When questioned by Dallas Police Captain Fritz, Oswald admitted this transfer was given to him by the bus driver when he left the bus after being stalled in traffic (CE 2003 pg 37B).

You see that, Backes? Oswald admitted to both riding the bus and getting the transfer ticket.
