bpete claims that we're not seeing the decorative strip on the Squad room cop because of the disadvantageous angle. But on the first cop, it looks pretty raised, especially on his left.

It seems like it ought to be a little bit visible from behind.

Here's another view of him from A Year Ago Today. It's a lot blurrier, and you'll have to ask WFAA why that is the case, since it is, supposedly, the same film, and their film.

Again, you have to discount the hat. They are side by side with the photographer in front of them. Yet, the height difference between them is quite small.

That's compared to:

And now side by side:

That does not make sense. The big cop on the left is towering over Oswald, dwarfing him, while on the right, the height difference is negligible. Also, I'll state again that the cop on the right looks a bit porky and rather round-faced compared to the lean cop on the left. Let's take them one at a time so that we can view them large.

Here is another comparison of their heights in comparison to Oswald.

And here the two cops are side by side.

The man on the right is taller, leaner, and I would also say older. He looks more mature. On the left, there's a hint of lingering boyishness; he still has a relatively youthful face. The man on the right does not look boyish at all; there isn't a hint of it. Here's an idea: guess their ages. On the left, he looks pretty young, perhaps late 30s. On the right, he looks more like 50. Taller; leaner; older.

I'll point out to bpete that if it's true that the decorative strip is not a variable, it would not affect the other variables.
