Upperpunk, childishly, you expect perfection. But, nobody can ever duplicate the Altgens photo exactly. Even if you could plant your photographer's feet in the exact same spots that Altgens stood, there are many other variables. Their heights, for instance. Their exact elevation of the camera. The exact way they held it, pitched it. Think of the camera like a laser gun that is sending a beam of light the length of Dealey Plaza. There is so much leverage involved that a tweak of the wrist is all it takes  to change what gets captured. In this case, the image I posted was a digital image, and Altgens' wasn't, and even the way his film was developed and processed affected the result- a lot.  So, there are always going to be discrepancies, no matter who tries to duplicate the Altgens photo.. Nobody is ever going to duplicate it exactly.

But, I'll admit that the high elevation of that other Fedora Man is a problem- but more so for you than for me. That's because you claim that he is the same Fedora man from Towner. In Towner, the first Fedora Man is much more elevated; it jumps out at you. But, in Altgens, both Fedora Men are the same height.  Exactly the same height.
