Upperpunk: So, you're saying that you agree with Robin Unger that the actual physical location of the Fedora Man was on Elm Street in front of the monument. That puts you both at odds with Joseph Backes who says this:

Backes says "this man is no more standing in front of a side of the white column than blah, blah, blah." So, he disagrees with you and Unger.

And, the people next to Fedora Man would undergo the same perspective differences, relating to Towner and Altgens, that he does. Altgens would be looking at them from the bottom of Elm from a mostly west but also north direction, and Towner would be looking at them from a mostly north but slightly east direction, and therefore, their backgrounds should shift between the two just as it does for him- according to you.

I'm saying that he should be surrounded by the same people in both images. But, he's not.

What happened to all the people he was with when Towner took his picture, Upperpunk?

And what I'm talking about doing is very simple: placing a man in front of the obelisk on Elm and then photographing him from Altgens' position and Towner's position. According to you his background should change. I say it won't. Care to bet on it?
