"When looking at Altgen's we must also take into account the foreshortening effect produced by the 105mm telephoto lens, that makes distant objects seem much closer than they really are." Robin Unger

The problem is, Robin, that the object in question in the Altgens photo does NOT seem close. He seems far. He seems about as far as he can be because you can't back him into the building.

So, did you mean just the opposite that near objects were made to look farther away by Altgens' lens? Because as I said, you'd have to back him into the building to get him any farther away than he is.

And let me ask you something else, Robin. What about this guy? I mean the guy I have circled.

Where was he really? Because he was affected by the same phenomenon, right? It was the same telephoto lens being used on him, right? So, whatever the facts are about the Fedora Man have got to apply to him as well, right? So where was he really? And notice that there is another man next to him at the very edge of the picture, and he had to be affected the same way too, right? So, where was he really?
