Pete Mellor: Ralph, There is a very interesting take on Buell Frazier, among others, in George O'Toole's 'The Assassination Tapes' (1975). The fact that O'Toole was ex CIA adds to the weight of his findings. Using P.S.A. (Psychological Stress Analysis) on the recorded voice, he detects levels of stress on statements he obtained from media and his own interview recordings. So, he finds that Oswald's "I didn't shoot anybody, no sir." statement as showing no stress, even though he was in a stressful situation at the time, and therefore telling the truth. Among the interviews he took were R.D. Lewis and Paul Bentley, who were involved in the polygraph test given to Buell Frazier on 22/11/63.
Both these P.S.A. graphs show high levels of stress.
O'Toole had Frazier tracked down in '74 and recorded an interview. The text of that interview is produced in the book, and our friend Buell was a very nervous man.
I do wonder if instead of Jim's three Oswalds...did we have three patsies in play on 22/11/63. Oswald with the Carcano. Was Frazier a possible for the 303 Enfield?
O'Toole writes, "The Dallas police did not simply bring in Frazier for questioning; they arrested him. They searched his automobile and his home, and they confiscated his British 303 rifle, the same type weapon that was first reported by the media to have been found in the book depository."
So who was going to take the fall for the Mauser? Joe Molina maybe. Something to think on.
Ralph Cinque: Now, that is interesting, Pete. If Frazier was being threatened with prosecution, then he may have been willing to say anything to cooperate. But, here's what I'm wondering: I have no doubt that some of those lowly "order fillers" at the TSBD were involved in the JFK operation. One such example is Danny Arce. He only started there a month before Oswald, and I believe he was part of the whole setup to frame Oswald. The confidence shown by Joseph Ball in questioning Arce about Doorman was beyond the pale. He had no restraint, no hesitancy. Ball KNEW that Arce was going to deliver the answer he wanted. They must have had it worked out in advance. I believe Danny Arce was a player in this thing. But the question is: what was Frazier's role? I don't think he was like Arce, but was he brought on with a specific intention relating to the assassination? Larry Rivera uncovered that Lovelady was brought on 10 months before, and the VP paid his fine to prevent his extradition back to Maryland. Don't you think they were planning a role for Lovelady? I do. Lovelady was being groomed- for something. But, was the same true of Frazier?
