Joseph Backes refuses to admit that the image on the right was colorized, even though you can see how the red color spilled over to the neck and the ear. 

Then, with those bulging muscles, he couldn't possibly be Doorman, and he couldn't be Lovelady either. That is cartoonish, and it is not anatomically correct. I don't know who did this. I was told that Robert Groden did, although I don't claim to know that for sure. But somebody did it, and it's part of the whole Lovelady deception.
