He wasn't there. He wasn't filmed. It is all just CIA photographic flim-flam in which they installed him into films. After the FBI blew it by revealing that Lovelady wore a short-sleeved striped shirt, they desperately needed images of him in a long-sleeved shirt. The long sleeves really were the key. The plaid part is just something they settled on for lack of anything better. There was nothing plaid about Doorman's shirt, but what do you call a pattern that is cloudy and splotchy?
It was just haze, distortion, and light reflection, but it showed some contrast, so they called it plaid, not knowing what else to call it. The Lovelady impostor's plaid shirt actually conflicted with Doorman's.
Yes, they really did this. They made phony movies with phony Loveladys, and they did it again and again. Does it seem like an extreme and drastic measure? It was. But, remember what was at stake: the complete credibility, legitimacy, and moral authority of the US government and its pawns in the US media. How far were they willing to go to protect that? Answer: to Hell and back.
