This is from OIC senior member Pete Mellor concerning Jack Ruby:

Was there any event during that assassination weekend that doesn't have links to Jack Rubenstein?
The Tippit murder is littered with them.
Ruby's apartment at 223 South Ewing Avenue was just half a mile from the scene of the Tippit killing, closer in fact than Oswald's rooming house.
Burt Griffin raised a question, "Is there any significance in the fact that Helen Markham has known Jack Ruby for the past two years or more?"
Ruby was a regular at the Eat Well Café, 1404 Main Street, near the Carousel Club, where Markham was a waitress. George Senator was in the Eat Well on November 24, when the news came that Ruby had shot Oswald.
Another link is Markham's residence at 328 East Ninth Street, a block from Tenth & Patton, had been the residence of Ruby stripper Joyce McDonald.
Aquilla Clemmons, who stated she saw two killers, gave a description of one that fits Ruby rather than Oswald.
Taxi driver Scoggins' last fare before stopping at the Tippit murder site was from Love Field to 321 North Ewing Street, close to the 315 North Ewing residence of one Officer Harry Olsen, who was nearby in Oak Cliff when
Tippit was shot. Olsen and Ruby stripper Kay Coleman would meet up later that evening to egg on Ruby to shoot Oswald.
Links abound! Witnesses Barbara Jeanette Davis and sister in law Mrs Charlie Virginia Davis who turned up cartridges at the scene and identified Oswald at a DPD line-up later that night. Coincidence? The Davis' telephone
number was found in a memo pad of Carousel employee Larry Crafard!
Another revealing piece of news that only emerged in 2010 concerned witness T.E.Bowley, who admitted that he had worked for Ruby for many years as a bouncer at the Silver Spur Club on South Ervay Street.
Another Tippit killing witness, Jack Ray Tatum, a spare time freelance photographer, was a frequent visitor to the Carousel Club.
Tippit moonlighted for Austin Cook, whose former business partner Bert Bowman had been a partner of Ruby's financial backer Ralph Paul.
Ruby was close and friendly with Assistant D.A. Bill Alexander, who, surprise surprise, was very quickly on the scene of the action in Oak Cliff.
Jim Garrison turned up Darrell Wayne Garner, a suspect in the Tippit shooting, and a focus in the FBI 'investigation in the Reynolds shooting, 'and he too was close to Ruby. Garner said he met Shaw through Ruby in Dallas. He also told Garrison that his gun running activities had brought him into acquaintance with Tippit.
We all know of Oswald's rooming housekeeper, Earlene Roberts. She was the sister of Bertha Cheek, who Ruby was involved in business dealings just the day before the assassination. But...hold your hats and pull!! Earlene Roberts
testified to the Warren Commission that the one o' clock police vehicle visit that toot-tooted in front of the Beckley place was police car number 107. Many researchers consider that she must have seen Tippit's car, number 10.
Warren buried this information because there simply was no car 107 on the Dallas force, as it had been sold on April 17th 1963 to Elvis Blount of Silver Springs, Texas. Yet here is another coincidence. Jack Ruby placed a
telephone call to a Clarence Rector, an automobile transporter in Silver Springs, Texas, one week before on April 10th, 1963.
Incidentally, John Armstrong hypothesized that the two officers in that vehicle, (seen by Roberts), were the same two that
searched the bus of McWatters, perhaps to kill Harvey, so that the famous words 'Case Closed' could be pronounced sooner.
