In the letter to Feinman, Weisberg recounts how Mrs. Lovelady called him and offered him the shirt for $5000, which he declined.

Then, he talked about the CBS Special in which Lovelady was photographed wearing a plaid shirt.

Then he refers to the Martin film but then qualifies it to "DCA's Martin" meaning not the Martin film as we know it but the clip from Martin in the DCA compilation.

Harold should have considered the possibility that it was a lie that it was from Martin, since qualitatively they are very different.

When Harold said that "it corroborates Mrs. L" he meant that it corroborated what she said about Lovelady wearing a plaid shirt, but that is not to say that he was saying that Doorman's shirt is plaid. You can't read that into it, you dumb pluck.

Then finally, he mentioned the color slide of the shot taken of Lovelady by CBS in 1967, and if he wondered if the man facing Lovelady (and photographing him) was Ricter himself.

And that's it. He said nothing about equating the Altgens Doorman with Lovelady in a plaid shirt.

You're stupid, Backes, and thank God you didn't have any children.
