Have you consulted with the Chairman of the OIC about this, Ralph ?  It's
good to have a second opinion.  But you know what they say about opinions,
don't you ?

Ralph Cinque:

Yeah, O'Blase', I checked with the Chairman, and he agrees with me.

The elevators were turned off during the assassination, and the Warren Commission hid that fact. In fact, they blatantly said that Truly and Baker took the stairs because the elevators were on the 5th floor.

Well, elevators are often not there waiting for us. So what do we do? We hit the button. And that's what Truly did. But in his case, the elevators didn't respond. Truly assumed that someone had left the gate open, so he yelled up the shaft, "Hey, close the gate!"

But, what's wrong with that picture? What's wrong is that there were two elevators, therefore, two gates. Is it likely that both gates were accidentally left open?

I suspect that the gates had nothing to do with it, that someone turned the elevators off from a central control. Note that when Truly and Baker climbed the stairs, they stopped at the 5th floor. And when they got there, the west elevator was already gone, but the east elevator was still there, and they took it up to the 7th floor. Was the gate to it open? Truly didn't even say, and the Warren Commission didn't ask.
