So, they received a lot of threatening phone calls, did they, the day Oswald was killed? I wonder how those calls went down. Was it anything like this?
Dispatcher: Dallas PD.
Caller: Yeah, I'm calling to let you know that I'm gunning for Oswald. I'm going to shoot him. I'm going to kill him. He doesn't deserve a trial. He deserves speedy justice; my way. And he's getting it.
Dispatcher: Good of you to call. Would you like to provide some details?
Caller: Huh. What, do you think I am, stupid? That's for me to know and you to find out.
Dispatcher: Very well then, I think that concludes our call... unless you'd like to make a donation to the Police Benevolent Society.
Caller: I think not.
Dispatcher: Are you sure? We're having a raffle. You could win a duffel bag.
Caller: Doesn't tempt me.
Caller: OK then, thanks for the heads-up. We'll be on the lookout for you.
Caller: OK. You do that.
