What's the thing about Rafael Cruz and the heavy glasses? This is is his wedding photo. He's cutting the cake with his wife next to him. He had to wear heavy glasses for that? He doesn't look very happy. What, was it an arranged marriage? 

Then, there is this family photo. He couldn't remove his glasses for a family photo?

Then, there's this one. He looks like the Man from Space. 

I've known welders who wore less eye protection. 

Here the glasses seem tinted. On a cloudy day, he's wearing tinted glasses. 

Jiminy Christmas! Neil Armstrong walked on the moon (studio) with lighter eyewear than that. 

So, I'm thinking: was it a disguise? Was he reinventing himself after that messy Bay of Pigs thing?
