On the left is an image of Conein from the 1970s. Just focus on his ears. Notice that his right ear is flat. It's flush with the side of his head.  But, his left ear is flush at the bottom, but at the top, it sticks out some. The helix flares out a little bit, and it is a disparity between his left ear and and his right. Then, if you look at the disputed figure in the middle, you see the exact same thing: a flat right ear and a left ear that flares out at the top. Then, on the right is Robert Adams, and the left/right ear disparity is completely non-existent.  The disputed figure has got Conein's ears not Adams'.
