Joseph Backes has admitted that Matthew Scheufele's case for Lovelady as Doorman is "weak." In reality, there is no case for Lovelady as Doorman.
Backes also said that when I said they NEVER would have allowed anyone to say it was Oswald in the doorway- let alone put it in the Warren Report- that I was pulling shit from out my ass.
Oh really? So, Backes thinks that if the interview of Danny Arce had gone something like this, that they just would have published it in the Warren Report for all the world to see.
Ball: Who is that man right there?
Arce: That is Oswald, Lee Oswald.
Ball: Oswald? Are you sure? Because the Dallas Police and the FBI are saying that Oswald was up on the 6th floor shooting at Kennedy.
Arce: Yes, I'm sure. I recognize him; his clothing; his slender build; his gaunt face. That's him. Lee Oswald.
Ball: Do you remember seeing him there at the time?
Arce: Well, I was standing elsewhere, and no, I don't recall seeing him there at the time. But when I look at the picture, I recognize him right away. He is Oswald, and I have no doubt about it.
Ball: OK, well go ahead and draw an arrow to him then, and write "Oswald" and then put your initials over it because we wouldn't want to get these arrows confused. We want to know whose is whose. We wouldn't want them wondering about it 50 years from now, would we? Of course not. But, I gotta tell you, a lot of people are going to be shocked by this.
Arce: What can I say? I call 'em as I see 'em. If it's Oswald, it's Oswald. It's not my fault.
Ball: OK, I hear you. And hey, we just want to present all the evidence. We'll let the American people decide for themselves what they want to believe. But, something tells me that this is going to stand out like a sore thumb in the Warren Report. But, we are determined to be honest and include everything. And if anybody gives you a hard time for saying what you did, you tell them to come see me. We don't pressure anybody to say anything around here; I won't stand for it.
Arce: Thanks; good to know; I'll remember that.
Ball: OK, now get out of here; beat it. We're going to bring Lovelady in now and see what he has to say about it. And, I'll put it to him just as I did to you.
