No, Unger. When the FBI wrote that Lovelady said that he wore a red and white striped shirt and blue jeans, they were just repeating what he said. 



Somebody even nudged his shirt out to get it to open more like Doorman's, a futile gesture.  But, they wanted him to look as much as possible like Doorman. 

So, Lovelady must have told them that about having worn that striped shirt because they had no other way of knowing it. But with the location of Doorman in the Altgens photo, the FBI agent was going by what HE saw in the picture. So, he put the words down on paper for Lovelady to sign. 

The FBI did that for a lot of people, wrote their statements for them. They even did it for Dallas Police Officer Marrion Baker, but he went and made corrections and initialed them. He certainly wasn't correcting what he himself had written.
