This is a very moving article, about how Ronald Reagan, as President, lent a helping hand at fundraising for the Kennedy Library, which he did at the request of Carolyn and John Jr. Here's a picture. The only one whose identity didn't jump out at me right away was Ethyl Kennedy. Jackie looks dazzling there, doesn't she?

It's touching because Ronald Reagan was a Republican, not a Democrat, and he was also the most vigorous supporter of Barry Goldwater in 1964- who would have been Kennedy's opponent had he lived. So, Ronald Reagan was not a supporter of John Kennedy. But, death, particularly someone's tragic death, has a way of softening rivalries. Read the article. It's very good.
