Ralph, there is something "not quite right" about that clock: it looks transparent in one photo and chewed around the edges in the other. In addition, someone seems anxious to make the viewer believe that the time is 2.00.
Ralph Cinque:
It took me a long time to figure this out. The clock, of course, is fake. And in the original version of this phony footage, which is the second one, they made it so large that it's a joke- as if they would ever have a clock so large in a police squad room. So, they made it smaller in the revised version, just for credibility. But, you're right that the purpose of the phony clock is to sell the idea that it was 2:00. You see, it was actually a different time, and maybe a different day. It may have been Saturday. It was after Oswald's shirt was taken from him because he's not actually wearing an outer shirt in the bottom picture. The shirt you see on him is fake. It was painted on. Look how phony it looks.
That, in the words of the vernacular, is sloppy. Very sloppy.
So, what they did was splice together some footage of Oswald when he first entered the PD, in which his shirt was hanging off of him from the struggle in the theater, with some later footage when he was just in a t-shirt. And that's why they had to plop a shirt on him to make it consistent with the other. And for the finishing touch, the icing on the cake, they put that big monster clock in there to show you, "See; it's 2:00. The time is right. So, there is no monkey business going on here." And while we're at it, let's notice that Oswald's neck is way too long in the picture.
Do you, or do you not, see that Oswald's neck is about as long as a giraffe's? And that's not even Oswald's hairline from behind.
Do you, or do you not, see that Oswald's hairline in back was very far down, close to his collar, and very irregular? How could it be this?
Do you, or do you not, see that those are grossly different? And the worst thing is the length of Oswald's giraffe neck on the left.
So, who knows how they did this:
That it's fake is absolutely certain, but exactly how they did it is anybody's guess. The brazenness, the arrogance of these people knew no bounds.
