When you look at this picture, and you see Ike Pappas right there next to the shooter and Tom Pettit not far away, and they didn't say a word about hearing the shooter say anything, how can you possibly believe someone who was much farther away who claimed to hear the Shooter speak? If the Shooter spoke, Pettit and the others who discussed what happened immediately afterwards would have mentioned the fact that he spoke. And they would have stated what he said. THEIR NOT DOING THAT MEANS THAT THE SHOOTER SAID NOTHING. And anyone who later claimed to have heard the shooter speak, can, in the words of the vernacular, go pluck himself.

And what it really amounts to is that these guys, who claimed to see Oswald being carried away and who decided months later that they did recognize Ruby in the garage after all and heard him state his name, they're like the original "crisis actors."  It's a modern term which didn't exist then. But, it exists now, and it applies perfectly to them. And those that don't like it know where they can go and what they can do when they reach their destination.
