The issue comes down to motivation. What motive would anyone- Ball or Lovelady- have to present two arrows like this?

Ball most certainly wanted two arrows pointing to Doorman, and Lovelady had to know it. So, there is no way he would have drawn his arrow to Doorman obscurely, and more important, there is no way Ball would have let him draw his arrow to Doorman obscurely.

So, it is really childish, stupid, and obtuse to think that that's two arrows. And it extremely arrogant, as it tramples over normal behavior. It is the equivalent of pounding a square peg into a round hole.  It is beyond ludicrous to think that that is two arrows.
