The Japanese photographer had both hands raised to eye level to support his camera, as you can see here.

We can't see his right arm, but we know he is using two hands. He couldn't possibly be holding the camera and operating it with just his left hand. So, his right hand had to be up there too. He did have folders with him, but were they still under his arm at that time? It is unresolved.
