Why haven't my enemies addressed the issue of Ruby's disappearing/reappearing jacket?

How could Ruby be out of his jacket at that point in time? Why would there have been any thought to remove his jacket? And how could it be back on him 5 seconds later by the elevator?

If there is an innocent explanation for all this, what is it? And why haven't we heard it by now?
