How could blood spread over this much area where Oswald was lying when he was lying on his back which wasn't bleeding?

Oswald was bleeding in one spot only, from his side. The place I would expect to see blood is on his clothes, his sweater, and we never saw that. If he was lying on his back, which wasn't bleeding, how could blood spread as we see it there?  How could it get there? And why the gaps? It's not as though they put him down on that rib. Dr. Fred Bieberdorf examined Oswald in the jail office and said that his puncture wound wasn't bleeding at all. So, how do wind up with such a scattered blood stain as that on the floor?
