Paul Popa had to leave suddenly, but he was determined that we record one more song first. So, on the spur of the moment last evening, we settled on this song, which was a favorite of the Beatles. They performed it regularly when they were working in Hamburg, Germany before they became famous. They had heard Peggy Lee's rendition of it, and they presumed it was her song. They did not find out, until much later, that it is from a Broadway musical. But, they went on to record it in 1963 and again in 1964, and it is the only Broadway song they ever recorded.  The musical is The Music Man, with words and music by Meredith Willson. And I think this song from it is about the sweetest song that has ever been written. It's called: Til There Was You
